Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota

The Cossack Foundation has been a true partner to Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota in so many different ways.

Cancer and Blood Disorders program – Private Patient Room
Because many oncology patients are immuno-suppressed due to their cancer treatments, private patient rooms are key in reducing the spread of germs and infections. The Cossack Foundation has helped Children’s provide excellence in care in an environment that is healing for both patients and families by sponsoring a private patient room in the Cancer and Blood Disorders program. These spacious, home-like interiors allow patients the opportunity to customize their room, bring in their personal belongings and make their hospital room feel more like home. The larger and more comfortable patient rooms allow families to stay 24/7 and better participate in the care of their child.

Thank God for Kids Gala – 2009 Sponsor
The 18th annual Thank God for Kids gala was held April 25, 2009, at the Historic Milwaukee Road Depot in Minneapolis. Frank Vascellaro and Belinda Jensen emceed the evening, which included silent and live auctions, gala dinner, raffle and entertainment by The Sevilles. With the Cossack Foundation as a Presenting Sponsor, over $800,000 was raised to support various programs of the Cancer Kids Fund at Children’s. The Cancer Kids Fund provides support, care and comfort to children and families coping with cancer or blood disorders, helping comfort sick kids, lesson fears and build new memories.
Wild About Children – 2009 Sponsor
The 6th annual Wild About Children event was held November 30, 2009 at Pazzaluna Urban Italian Restaurant in downtown St. Paul, raising $100,000 for Children’s programming. The entire Wild roster served as celebrity waiters and traded in their jerseys for aprons to wait on the 150+ guests in attendance. The event raised money through several fundraising vehicles, including a silent and live auction, and the Cossack Foundation generously sponsored a table at the event.
